“A strong collaboration to create something unique”
An interview with the Dynamiq CEO Sergei Dobroserdov
Mr Dobroserdov, why did you choose Studio F. A. Porsche for your project? What visions do you had in mind by cooperating with us?
Studio F. A. Porsche was a very natural choice for Dynamiq’s new range of super yachts. We felt they can create a very modern and clean transportation design combined with famous German precision. Dynamiq and Studio F. A. Porsche have the same key values, which are based on a timeless sport look and top efficiency of the product. This means the design elements not only have to look good, they also have to be linked with the idea of high functionality. In fact, the look of the yacht is mostly the result of how we worked together to create technical and styling solutions. Most importantly, our collaboration ran deeper than the modern trend for simple co-branding. At Dynamiq our intent was not to create a hype but commission a renowned design studio to translate our ideas of efficiency, performance and sporty spirit into a superyacht. This is not a Porsche boat – its’ a Dynamiq yacht created in collaboration with very talented, renown designers.
How would you describe the cooperation with Studio F. A. Porsche? How did the process go? How intensive were singular stages of the process?
We had professionals of the highest level on each side therefore the work itself was real pleasure. We were in daily contact for more than a year and to be frank never faced an issue or problem, which we were not able to resolve. This team spirit is the most important component of such a complex project.
Were all expectations fulfilled?
Yes, definitely! And even more than that! The result is a super cool and unusual super yacht, which outperforms almost every competitor in her class.
What does Transportation Design mean to you? Which meaning does it have to your company?
Well, transportation design and especially automotive design is much more refined than the one in super yachting. While we are dealing with 30-50 meter objects, car designers work with centimeters and millimeters – that is a completely different approach. Also to us, car design is much more modern than the design of yachts nowadays, which is still rather conservative. Overall it’s great to combine styles and approaches once it is done with a good taste.
Thank you very much for your time Mr Dobroserdov.
