Puristic aesthetics combined with maximum precision in the bathroom
Since 1956, THG has established itself as a leading company for exclusive and high-quality faucets and bathroom accessories. For the Icon-X Collection, Studio F. A. Porsche was commissioned by the French family-owned company to develop an innovative, contemporary bathroom faucet that expresses the design DNA of Studio F. A. Porsche.
Straight lines and sharp geometries shape the sleek faucets with its distinctive cross handles. A purist, timeless and elegant design that effortlessly enhances any bathroom ambience. Highest precision and a high-quality materiality define the modern Icon-X Collection. “The harmonious interplay between the almost radical reduction of form and the balance and elegance of proportions and details give this highly functional product a sculptural, almost monolithic appearance,” explains Christian Schwamkrug, Design Director at Studio F. A. Porsche.
The challenge with a product used internationally, such as faucets, is to meet the standards and norms of different countries while emphasizing the innovative character and refined details in the design. To meet individual customer requirements, Studio F. A. Porsche developed a material concept with variable colors and surfaces.
In the production of the premium product, qualitative perfection was required to do justice to the purist design. Those who equip their bathroom with fittings from THG increase the value of their furnishings. With its design characterized by refinement and detailing, harmonious proportions and high material quality, the Icon-X Collection by Studio F. A. Porsche creates timeless and sustainable products that embody relevance and aesthetics for a lifetime. This makes the Icon-X Collection an exciting example of how a fitting – hardly changed at its technical core – can become a unique, innovative and at the same time sustainable premium product due to its perfect design.
