Veuve Cliquot
Champagne
Refrigerator
Reinvention of the wine cellar, a piece of art, a halo product. The briefing from Veuve Cliquot was exciting but very open. They were looking for something nobody had ever done, a statement that would lift twelve of the best vintage magnum champagne bottles to an even higher level. An object that would be desirable for collectors and move this classic luxury beverage to the 21st century.
What the Porsche Design Studio came up with was a 71/2 foot stainless steel monotith. Crafted by hand, only 15 pieces made, sold for up to 100.000€ a piece. Each vintage magnum bottle has its own refrigerated compartment exposing orange light when opened. Vintage Champagne meets the future!
